Cavity Wall & Attic Insulation Top Up – SEAI Standard
Earthwool was rolled out ensuring the Attic had the required 12 inches of insulation. The 4 inch cavity walls which were only partially filled were pumped and fully filled with Thermobead, attic pipework was insulated, Thermawalk fitted from hatch to water tank, and the hatch Insulated. 30% – 40% savings on annual home heating bills should now be enjoyed, along with a warmer and cosier home.

Roof Insulation was topped up from 100mm to 300mm the minimum needed to prevent heat loss and make your home easier to heat. Attic hatch and pipework was also insulated. Cavity wall was pumped with bead topping up from partial fill to full fill. Savings on annual home heating bills of 30% to 40%. SEAI Better Energy Homes Grants are available for Insulation Top Ups.

This job was completed by our Installation Team in a half day with no disruption to the household. Attic Insulation was topped up with our Earthwool Loft Roll, Cavity Walls were topped up to ensure they were filled to capacity to SEAI standards. A happy home owner can now look forward to a cosier home this winter with savings on annual home heating bills of 30% to 40%.

Solastech Insulation carried out a Free Energy Audit on each of these 4 houses, detailing the type of work needed. The Building Energy Rating on the houses was a poor D3. Cavity Wall Insulation & Attic Insulation were both upgraded, as a result the new BER rated as a B. The owner also availed of the SEAI Better Energy Homes Grant.
